Tip Top Dance School is an independent dance school based at the Venture Community Association (103a Wornington Road W10 5YB). 

 

The school is founded by an international dancer Maria Cassar who has extensive experience within the dance industry, with years of dancing, teaching and performing behind her.

 

We are offer classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Creative Movement, Jazz and Street Dance.

Maria Cassar

Tip Top Dance School Founder / Teacher

Maria graduated from Trinity Laban with a Ba (Hons) Dance Theatre in 2009. She has also completed M level Safe and Effective Dance Practice at Teeside University.

 

She has worked with choreographers, Tom Dale, Susan Sentler, Kerry Nicholls, Theo Clinkard, Kristina Sommerlade, Mavin Khoo and James Wilton. Whilst employed with Tees Valley Dance, she performed, toured, lead workshops to a range of people from SEN, OAP's, primary / secondary schools, including Newcastle College and Teeside University.

 

Upon graduating in 2009 Maria co-founded RedTape Dance Company and since then they have produced multiple stage and site specific pieces. They have performed at Resolutions! Blue Print Festival, London Live Art, Notte Bianca, Malta Arts Festival, and Ziguzajg International Children and Youth Festival. They have also been the recipients of the Malta Arts Fund.

Maria’s choreographic work has also been shown at the Bonnie Bird Theatre, Stratford Circus, Crystal Palace Arts Festival, Sydenham Arts Festival, Sadlers Wells, The Albany Theatre, Her Majesty's Theatre and the London Palladium.

 

Maria also teaches in several schools around London working within secondary mainstream and SEN school settings teaching contemporary and creative movement classes. She has also been leading some of the Royal Academy's Step into Dance teaching training / mentoring sessions.

Mario Nadal

Street Dance and Breakdance Teacher

Mario Nadal aka Bboy Shortcut has been involved in the London hiphop breakdance / streetdance scene since the late 90s and has danced and trained among some of UK’s best, and old-school pioneers. As a personality and representative of the Urban Culture and club scene he then went on to become a competitor and take part in local, national and international competitions, and has won and made finalist in various solo and crew events.

 

Over the years he has taken part in community and humanitarian related projects and has worked as an entertainer for corporate and private functions. Occasionally he also works with other artists, and athletes promoting fitness and health in movement and physical activity.

Currently he is a full time coach in Breakdance and the Martial arts and carries a unique

teaching method and philosophy to his approach. He believes in team effort as well as individual exploration and creativity and expects the best out of all his students.

Kasia Kmiecik

Kasia is a graduate of the National Ballet School in Lódż, Poland and worked as a professional ballet dancer in the Opera House and Musical Theatre 'Capitol', in WrocÅ‚aw, Poland for 11 years. She continues to study at the Lower Silesian University where she graduated with a bachelor in Art Education Pedagogy and earned a qualified teacher status.

 

During her career as a dancer she performed from corps de ballet to principal roles. She worked with the Goerlitz  Opera and Moscow City Ballet. She also took part in many festivals in Holland,France,Belgium and Estonia as well.

Kasia currently works with children, teenagers and adults full time. She has created many successful productions, one of them being the children's musical performance called "Joyful Spring" which she produced and choreographed and in which 80 children took part. She choreographs regularly at the ballet society of the University of Reading.

Today she teaches several groups in and outside of London, from children to Adults. Kasia is frequently works as a guest teacher during various workshops, festivals and dance camps.

Kasia constantly strives to enrich her knowledge in the sector of eurythmics, art, pedagogy, sociology and psychology by attending lectures and conferences frequently. She is always searching for new ways to pass knowledge and experience to her students in the clearest and most understandable way possible.
 

Kasia strives towards understanding and bonding with each human being she works with.  Her mission is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique experience in which the student can grow both mentally and physically as a dancer.
