“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” Alan Watts
Dance Roots project aims to introduce and give a historical context to dance styles rooted in African cultures.
We believe it is important for youths to understand where dance styles emerged from, how they evolved, how the technique was built and how a relationship to the music was developed.
Join us for series of three workshops looking at the Roots of Popping, Samba and Hip Hop.
Message from Maria:
We have tried to make our online programmes as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you do not find something that works for you please get in touch directly with me and I will guide you towards the best options of classes for your child and family. If your family has been hit financially by COVID-19 please do also get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please be mindful that we are also a small business doing our best to survive in this climate. We look forward to dance and move with you all again!
Together our dance family will come out stronger at the end of this!
